Statement on Council Debate April 28, 2025: “Stop Military Aid to Israel”
If we are to call ourselves a city that truly values peace, justice, and human dignity, we must stand up for these principles even when it is uncomfortable, even when it is inconvenient.
Tonight, we have the opportunity to demonstrate that we will not be passive in the face of violence, oppression, genocide, ethnic cleansing, and apartheid.
Let us show our community that we are listening, that we are committed to justice, and that we will not let their voices go unheard.
